June 12: APC UK South-West Lauds Buhari For Honouring MKO Abiola

Leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), United Kingdom South-West, has commended what they called the ingenuity of President Muhammadu Buhari in recognising the election of the late Chief MKO Abiola on June 12, 1993 as the fairest election the country ever had, naming the day the new Democracy Day. It will be recalled that Friday marks the second anniversary of June 12 as the nation’s Democracy Day. The APC Diaspora caucus members of South-West Nigeria origin noted that the sons and daughters of the region, as well as history, would forever be grateful to the president over the recognition granted late Abiola.
